Passed the exam
I'm really happy with the set! The camera shows a super sharp image and my mate could read everything perfectly. The earphones really are completely invisible - nobody noticed a thing even though the examiner stood right next to me several times. The sound comes through clear and crisp. The battery easily lasted the full 3 hours. Everything worked straight away with my Samsung. I passed the exam and can only recommend the set!

Marie from the team really took her time and explained everything in detail. The earphone batteries easily lasted 4 hours, and spare batteries were included too - top! My helper could see the image perfectly via Anydesk and talk me through everything. It worked flawlessly. Passed the exam with flying colours! An absolute must-buy for anyone in a similar situation. App connection tricky at first
Mini camera works well for exams. At first the app connection was a bit tricky, but after trying a few things everything runs stably. The image of the exam paper shows clearly once the focus is set right. The camera really is tiny, it doesn't stand out at all in the shirt button. For someone who needs help discreetly, this set is very useful. Already recommended it to colleagues.

Needs good lighting
meh, it's ok. camera really needs a lot of light otherwise it goes blurry and out of focus fast
Translated from German
Needs good lighting
The mini camera really is discreet and delivers a decent image. Definitely practical for exams and easy to use. In low light the quality could be a bit better though, hence a small deduction. Overall I'm happy.

FAQ for mini camera
Which mini camera is best for discreet recordings?
For discreet recordings, the Spickprofi shirt button variant is the strongest choice: It looks like a normal button, has no visible lens and no LEDs. With 2K resolution (2560 × 1440) and live transmission to your phone, it is the best mini camera with live transmission for discreet self-recordings, for example in exams, learning videos or documentation from your own perspective. USB-C plug-and-play, works without Wi-Fi, delivered including step-by-step instructions.
Does the mini camera work without Wi-Fi?
Yes. The connection to the mobile phone runs via USB-C, not a Wi-Fi network. So you can use the camera even in rooms without internet — typically, for example, in examination rooms or while traveling. Since no radio signal is generated, you need neither Wi-Fi nor Bluetooth.
How far does the live broadcast reach?
The camera transmits not wirelessly, but directly to your phone via a USB-C cable — so the camera and phone remain connected. Therefore, there is no wireless range between the camera and the phone. The actual distance is created via your phone: Anyone who wants to watch the live stream remotely will receive it via a normal video connection from your phone (e.g., via a video call) — then the range is practically unlimited, as long as mobile network or internet is available.
Are mini cameras legal in Germany?
Mini cameras are legal in Germany – possession and purchase are not restricted. However, there are legal limits regarding their use:
Permitted: Recordings on your own property, gathering evidence with a legitimate interest, recordings with the consent of all parties involved, self-documentation.
Forbidden: Secret video recordings in protected areas (§ 201a StGB), audio recordings of third-party conversations without consent (§ 201 StGB).
In case of doubt, seek legal advice – the legal assessment always depends on the specific context of use.
Can I use the mini camera with an iPhone?
No. The Mini Camera only works with Android phones that support USB-C and OTG (On-The-Go) — this applies to virtually all common models (Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi, Huawei). iPhone models are not compatible because iOS does not support OTG. USB-C adapters or other workarounds also do not work. A list of compatible smartphones can be found under "Technical Details".
What payment methods do you offer?
You pay by SEPA Bank Transfer, and from Austria also with EPS. You'll get the bank details right after ordering and again by email. The recipient shown there is "Stichting Mollie Payments", that's our payment provider. The fastest way is an instant transfer, then your payment reaches us within minutes. A standard transfer takes one to two business days.
Can I pay by credit card or PayPal?
Unfortunately not. The payment providers don't allow credit card or PayPal for our products. You don't need an extra account for the bank transfer, and with an instant transfer your payment reaches us within minutes.

Disguised mini camera in a shirt button for discreet recordings
Our disguised mini camera sits inside a real shirt button and is hard to tell apart from an ordinary row of buttons. There is no visible lens, no blinking LEDs and no housing that looks like a piece of tech. With 2K resolution (2560 × 1440) and 4 megapixels, the button camera records sharply enough that even fine handwriting and facial expressions stay clearly readable. That is exactly what a disguised mini camera is for: recording inconspicuously from your own perspective, without the camera catching the eye.
Mini camera with a live feed straight to your phone
The mini camera streams its picture live to your phone. You plug it into your Android device via USB-C, open the app and see the 2K signal on screen in real time. You need no Wi-Fi, no pairing and no external power supply. If you want a helper in the next room to listen in and prompt you, combine the camera with our invisible earpiece and get the answer discreetly in your ear.
Hidden mini camera for exams and tests
The hidden mini camera is used most often in exams and tests, from oral examinations and the Abitur (German school-leaving exams) through to state examinations or IHK trade exams. The button sits on your shirt, a helper outside the room watches the live picture and reads out the answer. For the complete setup, the cheating kit of camera and earpiece is worth it, and wherever a calculator is allowed, the Spickprofi Calculator with its notes function rounds things off.
How to wear the shirt-button camera unnoticed
How you wear the shirt-button camera depends purely on what suits your situation. You can sew the button firmly onto a shirt or blouse, attach it with the supplied clip to a collar, belt or lapel, or film out of a bag through a buttonhole. It also sits inconspicuously on a rucksack strap and blends in among real buttons. That way you will find a way of wearing it in any situation where the camera is not recognisable as a device.
How the shirt-button camera differs from classic mini cameras
Unlike classic mini cameras with Wi-Fi, the shirt-button version works entirely without a network and without the cloud. Because it sends no radio signal, you need neither Wi-Fi nor Bluetooth. Compared with standard spy cams at 720p, its 2K delivers around four times as much picture information, and instead of a housing several centimetres across you are only wearing a button. The cheat sheet guide shows you further covert methods for exams.
At Spickprofi the shirt-button camera arrives ready to use: plug and play in under a minute, with step-by-step instructions and a list of compatible Android devices. That way the hidden recording works from the very first moment, with no tinkering.
